Accounts Assistant

We are working on a temporary opportunity with a leading manufacturing provider for an Accounts Assistant to join the team, predominantly focusing on the sales ledger and credit control aspects for up to 200 live accounts.

The key responsibilities will include customer invoicing, processing cash receipt books, reconciling sales ledger accounts and chasing outstanding payments.

It is essential that you are an all-round experienced Accounts Assistant as other duties will include bank reconciliation, EC Sales and Intrastat, preparation of month end journals, maintaining fixed asset registers and occasionally covering purchase ledger duties.

Ideally AAT qualified, you will also have at least 2 years in an Accounts Assistant role covering sales ledger. You will be a willing team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong rapport with colleagues, customers and suppliers. You must also be able to work methodically and efficiently to meet strict deadlines, demonstrating strong analytical and problem solving skills.
