Finance Assistant

I am working with an award winning, business leader in their field, to recruit a AAT Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant to join their dedicated finance team. This company has seen outstanding growth not just in the UK but overseas and offers a fast-paced environment, which will see you support multiple sectors with the services offered.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Management Accountants in the monthly management accounts process
• Prepare and post accurate month end journals
• Complete bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy
• Assist with purchase ledger activities including invoice matching, credit notes, reconciliations, remittances and supplier queries
• Provide cover for purchase and sales ledger functions during month end and team absence
• Process cash postings and expense claims
• Liaise with colleagues on sales ledger and debt collection matters
• Assist with audit preparation and documentation
• Maintain up-to-date procedure notes
• Support wider finance projects and initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• Working towards AAT Level 4 (or AAT qualified)
• Strong numeracy skills with at least 5 GCSEs including Maths & English (Grade 4/C or above)
• Experience with Sage 50 (advantageous but not essential)
• Excellent IT and Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups etc.)
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm (40 hours per week) - Onsite
