Brexit so far has generated a huge amount of speculation as most experts admit no one actually knows what is going to happen.
Here at CY we are not speculating, but can tell you about a Brexit effect that is already happening. You will know about the much publicised high levels of employment and the shortage of talent but this is being further compounded by Brexit as employees are deciding to stay put rather than seek a new position. They are afraid of moving to a new position now, their new employers experiencing Brexit difficulties and them then being made redundant under the last in first out theory.
So whilst national stats show that overall the number of job vacancies are down, there seems to be a greater fall in active candidates, resulting in higher demand for us to assist with recruitment needs.
