The requirement for a Service Charge Project Manager has been identified as a key corporate project and will be a root and branch review of service charges with the intended outcome to reduce the annual deficit the organisation currently faces.

The Service Charge Project Manager will be responsible for a gap analysis of current service charge position, whilst assessing and conducting benchmarking and external regulatory analysis to help scope the review and assist with the future charging and accounting of service charges for the organisation in coordination with the Finance Manager (Rent & Service Charge).

The Service Charge Project Manager is a pivotal role which enables the organisation to meet its ambitions and improve VFM (value for money).

The Service Charge Project Manager will use their rent and service charge knowledge and expertise to reduce historic service charge deficits and ensure charges to customers are compliant with all regulatory and legal guidelines.

Working collaboratively as well as providing comprehensive financial information and advice to internal and external stakeholders is a key requirement of the role.

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance the Service Charge Project Manager will provide a pro-active, solutions focused service to key stakeholders including finance, housing and property maintenance staff.
