Financial Controller | Property Development & Investment

3 – 4 days per week | Gloucestershire (hybrid potential)

An established, property development and investment group is seeking a Financial Controller to provide both hands-on and strategic support to the business owners.

With a proud heritage spanning decades, the company has evolved into a recognised player within the sector—delivering high-quality, bespoke developments nationwide.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in guiding the financial performance of a growing, asset-rich group with multiple entities and a substantial property portfolio.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Directors, you’ll take ownership of the group’s accounting operations—overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and cashflow forecasting, while supporting strategic decision-making. The position will suit a commercially minded accountant who enjoys combining detailed financial control with forward-looking analysis and business partnering.

Key Areas of Focus

• Preparation of quarterly management accounts and financial reports
• Oversight of cashflow, budgeting, and project costing
• Management of property portfolio finances including debt, loan, and revenue tracking
• Development and implementation of financial controls and process improvements
• Supporting strategic planning through data-driven insights and variance analysis

About You

• ACA or ACCA qualified (approx. 3+ years PQE)
• Proven experience within property, construction, or related sectors
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with confidence advising owner-directors
• A proactive, modern approach to financial management and systems
