Payroll Manager

Kidderminster 30K - 40K Permanent

Working as a Payroll Manager, onsite, for a business in the Kidderminster area, you will ensure weekly and monthly payrolls are completed by the payroll team on time and to a high level of accuracy. Occasional international travel may be required to other sites. This role is being offered on a permanent basis with a salary of £30,000 - £40,000 DoE.

The company operates within niche training and recruitment sector supporting aerospace and aviation industries.

  • Prepare monthly tax and social security returns for all relevant countries.
  • Prepare reports required by the other managers including a quarterly summary report on payroll activity and issues.
  • Prepare the End of Year returns including P60’s and P11D’s or relevant international equivalent
  • To undertake training on payroll systems and legislation
  • Team supervision
  • Monitor training, development, motivation, target setting, performance and disciplinary action as required.
  • Ensure timesheets, invoices and rechargeable contractor expenses are submitted regularly, accurately and on time, though liaison with contractors and business operations / account managers
  • Ensure client requirements for invoice supporting files or documentation is satisfied.
  • Control and reconcile contractor holidays, per diems and other allowances.
  • Liaise with external payroll providers & tax advisors as necessary on such matters as tax-free elements and advise the CFO of any service level performance issues / problems with the providers.
  • Work collaboratively with your fellow Senior Payroll Managers / Payroll Manager responsible for other payrolls or sites, to discuss best practice and process improvements.
  • Management Training (preferred)
  • Formal Payroll Qualification (preferred)
  • Minimum of five years’ experience of managing complex payrolls and supervising staff.
