CY Executive Resourcing are excited to be partnering with Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in their search for a Divisional Programme Manager, to drive strategic and transformational change within the Medicine division and across the wider organisation.

The Trust is one of the largest in the country and they have been on a tremendous improvement journey in recent years, recently rated “Good” by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). They take great pride in providing high quality services with the pursuit of excellence at the foundation of everything they do.

This newly created position will support the Trust on its Transformation agenda and Strategic objective of achieving financial sustainability.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and leading programmes of work aligned with the Strategic Objectives of the Trust, including divisional or cross-divisional large scale and complex transformation and service improvement programmes
  • Ensuring all projects are fully and formally evaluated and where appropriate that the Trust’s strategic direction is influenced by the results
  • Monitoring and managing delivery against change plans and benefits targets, producing regular management reports detailing performance levels
  • Using PMO templates, supporting the scoping of potential schemes, facilitating benefits analysis, stakeholder mapping, Quality Impact Assessment and Project Initiation / Proposal submission and approval gateway process
  • Establishing and managing Programme Boards, ensuring the chair and other members are briefed to ensure the desired challenge, decision or outcome is achieved at Board meetings
  • Using comprehensive knowledge and understanding of clinical pathways and processes, working with clinicians and health care professionals to make best use of new technologies and delivering sustainable business change that improves patient experience and outcomes
  • Identifying opportunities for improvements using benchmarking data and other performance and costing data (such as Model Hospital, PLICS, Dr. Foster, local audit data etc.)

You will be expected to form strong working relationships with both clinical and corporate teams at all levels, inside and outside the Trust, and quickly gain an understanding of relevant clinical pathways and operational processes to assist Clinicians, senior managers, key stakeholders, health care professionals and colleagues in taking maximum advantage of any investment and realise its benefits.
