A progressive opportunity for an Assistant Finance Manager in an exciting part of a leading business, based in the Group Financial Services which is responsible for all aspects of accounting including financial and management accounting services, financial analysis, preparation of annual budgets, treasury, tax and VAT management.
This is a commercially and analytically focused role which will require you to have strong business partnering skills. If you have experience in a large, complex organisation it will stand you in good stead for the position, as well as being from a maintenance, contracting background or similar.
Within this Assistant Finance Manager position, you will use your natural leadership ability to offer guidance and support to junior team members and have strong communication skills to enable you to liaise with senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with budget holders to account for budgets and forecasts
- Reviewing, developing, implementing and monitoring account systems
- Continuous development of management reporting for the Senior Management Team
- Leading on regulating data quality, ensuring accuracy is maintained.
Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA is preferred however, if you are currently studying and nearing completion your application with definitely be considered. Recent experience of undertaking a similar role as well as having a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel also required.
