The Category Manager is a pivotal role and will work closely with the Head of Procurement in the creation, development and delivery of the organisations cost savings schemes.
As Category Manager you will lead OJEU and non-OJEU tender and supplier contracting initiatives for assigned categories within the work plan to support the delivery of year-on-year cash releasing and cost avoidance savings. You will lead on category management within one or more Categories ensuring the best value for money is achieved
Enhancing collaborative partnerships will be essential, as such you will demonstrate the ability to engage, challenge and exert influence with key stakeholders.
Commercially minded you will understand the importance of delivering work to the highest of standards, with a continual focus on improving productivity and efficiencies.
MCIPS qualified or equivalent procurement experience is essential, previous public sector experience is essential.
