Finance Assistant contract position within an organisation based just outside of Worcester City Centre. This is a 9-12 month contract and we are looking for someone who is available at short notice.
You will be responsible for providing support through the provision of effective and timely financial and management information. If you have experience of budgeting and budgetary control in a professional accounting environment within the public sector this could be the ideal position for you.
The role will include the effective management of budgets, ensuring value for money is achieved and spend is accurately recorded, ensuring accounting procedures are followed at period end and year end to facilitate accurate management and statutory reporting. This will involve posting journals and virements in accordance with financial rules and policies.
Using your positive and enthusiastic approach you will build excellent working relationships with different departments and colleagues in order to communicate throughout the organisation and thrive working in a team environment.
AAT studier or qualified.
