Management Accountant (Maternity Cover)

Bromsgrove 20 - 23 30 hours per week with Flexible work arrangement. Hybrid – Min. 2 days in office Contract

Our client requires an experienced Management Accountant to cover maternity leave for a 6-month fixed term contract. Working in this industry leading import/ export distribution business, you will provide financial support to the business on a part time basis, with hybrid available.

The Role:

You will be working in a dynamic, open-plan office environment, supporting a variety of finance activities with a focus on precision and effective time management. This is a hands-on role suited for someone with proven management accounting experience who enjoys working independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bank reconciliations
  • Posting purchase invoices
  • Managing prepaid purchases and currency payments
  • Month-end ledger closures
  • Accruals and prepayments journals
  • Depreciation and asset management
  • Month-end ad hoc journals and tasks
  • Producing monthly management accounts
  • Handling telephone and email queries

Key Skills

  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar role
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Logical, common-sense approach to work

Work arrangements

  • Flexible hybrid working (minimum 2 days in the office)
  • Hours tailored based on experience
  • Currently covered on a 30-hour per week schedule
