We are currently supporting an NHS client with the recruitment of two Management Accountant vacancies to strengthen the finance team during a significant financial turnaround programme.

These roles will focus on income management and reporting, providing essential financial support to ensure income is accurately recorded, monitored, forecast, and maximised as part of the organisation's wider recovery and improvement agenda.

The Role

As a Management Accountant with an income specialism, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation's financial recovery plans by delivering robust income reporting, analysis, and forecasting.

You will work closely with budget holders, operational teams, commissioning colleagues, and senior finance staff to provide accurate financial information and support informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of income reporting and financial performance monitoring.
  • Analyse income trends, activity data, and variances to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Assist with monthly management accounts, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Support the reconciliation and validation of income streams.
  • Work with operational and commissioning colleagues to ensure income is accurately captured and reported.
  • Provide financial analysis to support turnaround and recovery initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of financial models and business cases where required.
  • Contribute to the identification and delivery of income improvement opportunities.
  • Produce clear and concise reports for finance and operational stakeholders.
  • Ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and compliant with NHS financial procedures.

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates who have:

  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant, or Finance Analyst role.
  • Experience within the NHS or wider healthcare sector.
  • Knowledge of NHS income processes, reporting, and financial management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Excellent Excel and financial reporting skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A proactive and organised approach to managing competing priorities.
  • AAT qualification, part-qualified CCAB/CIMA, or equivalent relevant experience.
